And the next step is to set up automatic payments in incase you forget to pay your bills. Otherwise, you will be hurting your score if you are late on making the payments yourself. You know yourself best and therefore make a plan that works best for you. Also, the matter of fixing your credit would be if you have any loans and you have money to spare would be to pay it on top of your principal, because the faster your loan is paid off the quicker your score goes up. Also depending on where your finances are and your loan and credit score you can sometimes adjust your interest rates which is something to talk with the loan officer. But that is just another perk of fixing a credit score.
With credit scores you can notice fluctuations in your credit that can be because of fraud and it is your job to see that and report it. This can be a crucial part to building your credit as well.
