Are you still committed to your New Year Resolutions?
It is well known that majority of all New Year's resolutions are broken by Valentine's day. Now that we are getting to the midway point, are you still committed to the New Year's resolutions you made?
Of the resolutions that are broken, not many are because of the lack of commitment as many as are because of lack of perseverance. Take the case of financial planning and getting your financial life organized.
As a financial planner, January is a busy time of the year for me. Clients are eager to get started with financial planning. Once they learn from me on what that involves - collecting all the financial documents such as paystub, 401k statements, that obscure account they had lost track of, not to mention finding all the same documents for your significant other - they already have a cold feet. It is a daunting task!
I have learned a way to get out of this conundrum and keep my clients ever more committed to their goals than they were at the outset. If you consider yourself a procrastinator and don't trust in having New Year's resolutions, I may be able to help you.
